EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY AT IMAGINENATIVE FILM + MEDIA ARTS FESTIVAL

The imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival is currently accepting applications for an ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT. This is a full-time summer position beginning July 2nd 2007 and ending August 31st, 2007.

Organization: Now entering its eighth year, the imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival is an international showcase for Indigenous film, video, radio, new media, and installation art. Located in a beautiful arts-focused building at 401 Richmond Street West in Toronto, imagineNATIVE is a community-based festival committed to the development and promotion of Indigenous artists and their work.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Administrative Assistant will provide assistance with the administration and preparation of the imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival.

Responsibilities:
The Administrative Assistant’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Update and maintain database records.
Assist in pre-festival preparations, including inputting films into database.
Telephone reception.
File paper records, as necessary.
Check and distribute incoming faxes, assist in sending out faxes.
Check incoming emails to the general mailbox and forward queries as necessary.
Oversee incoming and outgoing office mail.
Assist all staff with daily administrative duties.
Other duties as assigned or required.

Skills Required:
Computer literacy (including web, spreadsheets, database programs).
Good organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Friendly and personable demeanour.

Position Details:
Contract runs for 9 weeks (full-time) and the wage is $10 per hour.
Start date is July 2nd and the position concludes on August 31st, 2007.
